Following yet another ranked win over North Carolina on Thanksgiving, the Spartans are now firmly in the top ten in both the AP and Coaches Polls.
In the Coaches Poll, Michigan State is now ranked at No. 8 overall. They started the season all the way down at No. 21.
In the AP Poll, the Spartans are now up at No. 7. They started the season at No. 22 in that poll.
This is a very strong start for the Big Ten in the polls, as Purdue and Michigan are now ranked No. 1 and No. 2 overall in the Coaches Poll. After MSU, Illinois is still ranked, coming in at No. 15, Indiana is No. 19, and Iowa, who MSU plays Tuesday, is No. 25. UCLA dropped out of the top-25 in the Coaches Poll.
