The Seattle Seahawks are close to reuniting with veteran safety Quandre Diggs by signing him to their practice squad. ESPN's Brady Henderson first reported the move was in the works. Diggs then took to social media to essentially confirm the news himself.

Diggs first joined the Seahawks during the 2019 campaign. He spent four-and-a-half seasons in Seattle, starting 72 games and registering 345 tackles and 24 interceptions. The Seahawks made him a cap casualty during the 2024 offseason, and Diggs signed back-to-back one-year contracts with the Tennessee Titans in 2024 and 2025.

Seahawks fans will be excited to see Diggs return. But the question goes begging. Does the 32-year-old veteran safety have anything left to offer the Seahawks?

Analyzing Diggs' 2025 season in Tennessee, the answer is a resounding yes. The former Texas Longhorns standout had earned a sizable 329 snaps in the Titans' defensive secondary. The decision to release him was mutual, as the rebuilding Titans had incentive to replace Diggs in the lineup with rookie safety Kevin Winston Jr. as they plan for 2026 and beyond.

Diggs recorded 30 tackles and one pass breakup for the Titans in nine games. He was usual reliable self, playing a steady role at safety next to fellow veterans Amani Hooker and Xavier Woods while the rookie Winston Jr. got healthy. Pro Football Focus has assigned Diggs a solid defensive grade of 66.1 for his play this season, including a 64.1 in coverage. That'll play.

Seahawks safety Julian Love has missed seven consecutive contests with an injury that is taking longer to heal than initially believed. Even though the team still has Coby Bryant and Nick Emmanwori at the position, Mike Macdonald has been forced to play Ty Okada and D'Anthony Bell with regularity. No disrespect to them, but Diggs represents a huge upgrade at the depth safety spot.
