The former headquarters of the U.S. Institute of Peace now bears a new name: Donald J. Trump. The president’s name has been placed above the words “The Institute of Peace” on the building, which was swept up earlier this year in a protracted legal and administrative battle.

In March, Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) dismissed the institute’s board and its staff, and the property was transferred to the General Services Administration (GSA). A federal district court overturned the move in May, but a federal appeals court later reinstated it, leaving employees twice removed and the building once again under GSA control.

It is unclear when the signage was changed.
