Megan Walsh’s abuse of Will Driscoll continues (Picture: ITV)
Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is fooling a lot of people in Coronation Street. Viewers know that the character has been grooming teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), beginning when she was his sports coach when the family lived in Hull.
When they moved to Weatherfield to take ownership of the Rovers Return, Will wasn’t initially with them, because he couldn’t bear to be parted from Megan. He insisted this was all about his athletics training, and Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) and Maggie (Pauline McLynn) joined forces to come up with a plan that would see them paying Megan to regularly travel from Hull to train Will.
‘Maggie has a particular blind spot when it comes to the youngest grandchild, Will,’ Pauline McLynn told us. ‘I suppose it’s such an unexpected thing to happen in any family that I think that’s why nobody has found out.’
Since then, Megan has ingratiated herself in the family and in the Weatherfield community while continuing to manipulate Will. She’s also started a relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), telling Will that she’s just using Daniel to get a job at Weatherfield High.

She continues with the relationship with Daniel, leaving Will feeling incredibly jealous when he sees the pair of them kissing passionately – but she continues to insist that it’s Will she wants.
Things take an even more sickening turn when it’s Will’s birthday. He’s turning 16, which means he’s now over the age of consent and Megan is happy to take full advantage of that. While the rest of the family are getting the back room of the Rovers all set up for a party for Will, he’s at the Chariot Square Hotel with Megan.
The family are oblivious to what’s going on, and Pauline McLynn revealed how they would react if they found out that Megan had been deceiving them all and abusing Will.
