The Los Angeles Rams are going to have a lot of flexibility in the upcoming offseason thanks to their two first-round picks. They could try to use them in a trade for a proven veteran, which they’ve done numerous times before, or they could package them in a deal to move up the draft board.
There’s also a chance they simply stand pat and use each of their two first-rounders to fill out a roster that could use an injection of youth. That’s exactly what Dane Brugler has them doing in his first mock draft of the season for The Athletic.

Though Los Angeles loves what it has seen from Warren McClendon Jr. this season as Rob Havenstein’s injury replacement, the front office could still target a blue-chip tackle in the first round.
With Rob Havenstein likely nearing the end of his career, the Rams might be in the right tackle market this offseason. The answer might already be on the roster should Warren McClendon finish this season strong, but if not, Fano would be a great fit. He is an athletic big man with an outstanding play demeanor.
Further down the board at No. 29, the Rams then use their own pick on a cornerback – something they rarely do this early in the draft. Brugler has the Rams taking Clemson’s Avieon Terrell, the brother of Falcons star corner A.J. Terrell.
Terrell doesn’t have any interceptions this season but he’s broken up nine passes and recorded three sacks with 4.5 tackles for a loss.
The Rams haven’t used a top-75 pick on a cornerback in a decade — and it shows.
Terrell, the younger brother of Falcons corner A.J. Terrell, loves to mix things up with receivers and be disruptive (eight forced fumbles in three seasons at Clemson). He has a “Honey Badger” aura to him.
The Rams may not add a franchise quarterback in this mock, even passing on Alabama’s Ty Simpson (who went 14th overall), but they bolster two positions of need with cornerstone players they can build around for years to come.
