The pair, who played rivals Potter and Draco Malfoy throughout the films, met up at a screening of Merrily We Roll Along’s film adaptation at the Hudson Theatre in New York, on Monday (December 1). Radcliffe previously starred in the 2023 Broadway revival of the musical.

Radcliffe and Felton shared a big hug and exchanged a few words before later posing for a picture, their first in more than a decade.

The pair last appeared on screen together in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, in 2011.

Radcliffe, 36, and Felton, 38, met while filming Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone, which was released 24 years ago last month.

Felton is currently making his Broadway debut, reprising his role as Draco in Harry Potter And The Cursed Child. The production, now in its seventh year in New York, follows the next generation of Hogwarts families, centring on Harry and Draco’s sons as they grapple with the legacy of the wizarding war.

Elsewhere, Radcliffe recently revealed that he wrote a letter to Dominic McLaughlin, who will star as Potter in the forthcoming HBO TV series along with Arabella Stanton portraying Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout taking on the role of Ron Weasley.

They were the successful applicants from a pool of over 30,000 after an open casting call last year. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2027.

John Lithgow will be taking on the role of Albus Dumbledore, while Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape. Janet McTeer has been cast as Minerva McGonagall and Nick Frost will play Rubeus Hagrid.

One role that hasn’t been announced yet is the main villain, Lord Voldemort, who was played by Ralph Fiennes in the movie adaptations, starting with Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire in 2005.

Recently, Warwick Davis confirmed he was returning to the franchise, to reprise the role of Professor Filius Flitwick that he played in the films. His former co-star, Jason Isaacs, also spoke up for Essiedu as Snape, condemning “racists” who objected to the actor’s casting.
