Omarion Hampton injury update: Is Chargers RB set to play vs. Eagles?

Running back Omarion Hampton is considered "likely" to play in the Chargers' Week 14 Monday night game against the Eagles, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.

After having his 21-day practice window opened and being a limited participant this last week, Hampton was officially ruled out for the Week 13 win over the Raiders to give him an extra "ramp-up week."

Hampton has missed the last seven games after suffering a left ankle fracture in Week 5. Before his injury, the former North Carolina product had 86 touches for 450 yards and two touchdowns.

With Hampton back in the mix, it is huge for an offense that's needed to make a playoff push. Hampton and Kimani Vidal, who is coming off a career performance, could provide a boost on the ground, especially as quarterback Justin Herbert is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing hand.

The Bears recently gashed Philadelphia in the rushing department, totaling 281 yards, with two running backs going for over 100 yards.
