Raiders move up in NFL draft order after Week 13 loss to Chargers

The Las Vegas Raiders were defeated 31-14 by their AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13. The Raiders dropped to a miserable 2-10 on the season as a result. The 2026 NFL draft order received quite the shakeup on Sunday.

The Raiders moved up to No. 5 overall in the current order. Quarterbacks Ty Simpson, Fernando Mendoza, and Dante Moore are the top draft-eligible quarterbacks in the draft. The Raiders are currently slated to be within striking distance of landing a potential franchise signal-caller.

The 1-11 Tennessee Titans remained in the driver's seat for the No. 1 selection following their blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Titans would probably have interest in trading the pick to a QB-needy team like the Raiders after they drafted quarterback Cam Ward with the top pick last year.

The Raiders climbed above the New York Jets in the draft order. The Jets upset the Atlanta Falcons on a game-winning field goal by veteran kicker Nick Folk. The 3-9 Jets dropped to seventh overall.

The New Orleans Saints were barely beaten by the Miami Dolphins 21-17. Had they executed the upset, they'd have been tied with the Raiders at 3-9. Instead, they're 2-10 and are currently scheduled to own the second overall selection. Rebuilding teams like the Jets and Saints were competitive on Sunday while the Raiders continue trending in the wrong direction.
