LSU football could be getting a new general manager with Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss to take the head coach role in Baton Rouge. Multiple outlets reported Sunday that Ole Miss GM Billy Glasscock will most likely follow Kiffin and take up a similar role in Baton Rouge.
Glasscock joined Kiffin's staff as Ole Miss's general manager in February 2024. He held the director of player personnel title at Texas and NC State prior to working for the Rebels. In Oxford, he helped Kiffin secure high-ranked transfer portal classes over the past two seasons and finish with two ranked teams.

He worked with Kiffin at LSU from 2022-23 before heading to Baton Rouge for a third stint. Thomas' current title at LSU is senior associate athletic director for football administration.
It's possible that Kiffin finds room for both Glasscock and Thomas on his staff at LSU. He utilized a heavy transfer portal strategy and jumped on board with NIL. The Tigers have the resources to employ those same strategies but it remains to be seen who will be overseeing the process.
