Shannen Doherty's estate claims that her husband still owes her money over a year after her death. Doherty was an actor best known for her work playing Prue Halliwell in the TV series Charmed. Her other roles include parts in Heathers, Mallrats, and Beverly Hills 90210.

Doherty also had a podcast called Let's Be Clear, which she hosted for several years. In 2015, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and in 2020, she announced that her cancer had come back and progressed to stage IV. This ultimately led to the actor's death last year on July 13, 2024 at the age of 53.

After her passing, the Doherty estate is now embroiled in tensions as they announce that the actor's ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, still owes her money. As per People, Doherty had signed their divorce settlement just one day before her untimely 2024 death, with Iswarienko signing on the day of her death.

Now, the estate has filed a motion against Iswarienko, who has allegedly failed to follow through with "monetary obligations" as a part of the divorce settlement. This includes the sale of the former couple's house, among other issues including the return of some of Doherty's personal property.

Iswarienko was Doherty's third and longest-term husband throughout her life. The pair got married in 2011 originally, finalizing their divorce at the very end of Doherty's life.

Even prior to this estate issue, Doherty's life was, tragically, colored with a lot of controversy even in her final years. Things famously did not end well on the set of Charmed, but even more details came to light about the issues over the past few years.

In late 2023, Holly Marie Combs joined Doherty on her Let's Be Clear podcast. On it, the two spoke candidly about Doherty being pushed out and fired from Charmed, citing Alyssa Milano's threat to "sue" the pair. A couple of months later, Milano responded to these claims, saying that she is "sad people can't move past it."

Doherty, who was actively fighting her cancer diagnosis at this time, stood up for herself. Speaking at MegaCon Orlando, Doherty said that her health diagnosis made it feel more important to her than ever to see that "the truth actually be told" in this situation.

As such, Shannen Doherty had a fairly harrowing time in the public eye in the last months of her life. Her ex-husband not holding up his end of the estate deal is another unfortunate add-on to this already unfortunate situation. For the peace of her family, there is hope with this new motion that they will get some compensation.
