Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas has been out of action for the past three weeks due to a left hamstring strain that he suffered on Nov. 5 at the Indiana Pacers. Brooklyn announced on Nov. 7 after Thomas' injury that he would be re-evaluated in three-to-four weeks, but it seems like the Nets still do not have any answers for when Thomas will return to play.

As of Wednesday, Brooklyn does not have an update on Thomas and his progress in his recovery from his hamstring strain, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Head coach Jordi Fernandez was asked by Lewis where Thomas stands at this point in time, but Fernandez's answer could indicate that the Nets will re-evaluate Thomas next week as opposed to this week.

Either way, it's understandable for anyone within the Nets fanbase to be frustrated by the lack of information on Thomas' condition given how important he is to the team. Thomas, 24, is averaging 21.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 40.2% from the field and 35.6% from three-point land in nine games played so far this season.

Since Thomas has been out of the lineup, the Nets have made up for his absence by shifting Noah Clowney into the power forward spot, shifting Michael Porter Jr. to small forward and Terance Mann to shooting guard. Brooklyn has won of their two of their nine games that they have played since Thomas went down, excluding their first win of the season against the Pacers when Thomas left after playing just five minutes.

In the meantime, the Nets have seen players like Porter, Clowney, and rookie guard Egor Demin have showed signs of being able to contribute more to the team when those increased efforts are needed. Assuming that Thomas is evaluated by next week and is able to get back on the floor, Brooklyn should be better off for it when they're able to insert Thomas back into the rotation.
