Michigan State basketball completed an impressive stay in the Sunshine State with a double-digit victory over ranked North Carolina on Thanksgiving.
The Spartans pulled away late to knock off the Tar Heels by the final score of 74-58. The win capped off a two-game series in the Fort Myers Tipoff Classic, with the Spartans beating East Carolina earlier this week.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMichigan State was led by Jeremy Fears Jr., who finished the game with 19 points and seven assists. Carson Cooper also had an impressive game with 14 points and six rebounds, and Jaxon Kohler finished the game with a double-double.
The win over North Carolina improved Michigan State to 7-0. This was the Spartans' third win over a ranked foe this season, with the Tar Heels joining Kentucky and Arkansas earlier this month.
