As the forces of Darkseid unleash havoc across the Earth, DC's remaining heroes will have to fight back without the help of Superman. But as the Man of Steel upgrades his powers inside of the DC K.O. tournament, his most powerful support squad has returned from obscurity to turn the tide.

Lois Lane looks upon the broken robotic face of a Superman robot in horror in DC Comics art from Superman #32
Just moments after Lois Lane discovered that Doomsday was created to kill Darkseid, the villainous Omega Legion crashed the party. The now-heroic Superboy-Prime arrived just in time see Lois reactivate her Superwoman abilities, giving their attackers an unexpected battle for the ages. But Superboy-Prime saved his greatest trick for last.
Realizing the resources at his disposal inside this world's Fortress of Solitude, the latest issue of Superman sees Superboy-Prime disappear in search of an unknown weapon... And return, to Lois (and the reader's) shock with Superman himself fighting at his side. Or, as Lois soon discovers, a carbon copy, robotic doppelganger of the Man of Steel, with all his powers.

With Multiple Massive Threats, Both Superboy and The Robots Could Turn The Tide
An army of different suited Superman Robots gather behind Superboy-Prime in Comic Art from Superman #32
For the unfamiliar, the idea of a robotic double of the Man of Steel was shockingly common back in the 1970s and 1980s, when Superman's adventures leaned more towards the fantastic and far-fetched. If either Clark Kent or Superman needed to be in two places at once, then a perfect robotic clone was the obvious solution.
Since these antics began when Superboy was still concealing his public identity from Smallville, their existence was a secret already known to Superboy-Prime from his own childhood, seeking them out huddled away in cold storage. And we do mean "them," as the final page reveals the recruitment of an entire army's worth of variously costumed Men of Steel. A weapon of unparalleled power, arriving just when it may be needed most.
Superman Meets His Superman Robots in DC Comic Art
As the single damaged Superman Robot just demonstrated in battle against the forces of the Omega Legion, it possesses the same offensive powers of Superman, and a fraction of his Kryptonian durability to boot. While the science of that fact may be suspect, the results speak for themselves.
Which means Superboy-Prime and Superwoman now stand at the front of an army of Superman clones, with an entire planet in battle against the coming of Darkseid. Could it be enough to shift the battle in the heroes' favor?
Superman #32 is available now from DC Comics.
