After a tumultuous and dramatic year for Grand Theft Auto 6 fans that's been full of delays, Rockstar Games controversies, and the proliferation of hoaxes, leaks, and rampant rumors, it's a little nerve-racking to think about what next year may bring in terms of GTA 6 news.
However, one of the first potential updates we may get next year will happen on Thursday, February 5, when Take-Two has their next official earnings call (via Investing.com). While it's never a guarantee that GTA 6 will be discussed in the call, history tells us that major GTA 6 announcements often coincide with Take-Two's earnings calls.
When Is Take-Two's Next Earnings Call?
2025 was a crazy year for GTA 6 fans, with two different delay announcements, recent accusations against Rockstar Games over union-busting practices, and countless "leaks" proliferating online that have ended up being fake hoaxes.
Further, because of the delays and lack of transparency about GTA 6's status, endless rumors have begun circulating over whether we'll face a third delay at some point next year.
If that does happen, there's a very good chance it will line up with Take-Two's next earnings call, which is on February 5, 2026. The previous delay was announced just minutes before the last Take-Two earnings call on November 6, while the previous delay announcement took place about a week before Take-Two's May 15, 2025 earnings call.
GTA 6 Fans Should Save The Date
While Take-Two earnings calls themselves aren't all that exciting, they do tend to discuss GTA 6 or at least field questions regarding the game at some point during these calls. During the February 5 call, however, I'd expect them to at least provide an update or confirm GTA 6's November 2026 release date as the game ramps up for a full-scale marketing campaign before launch.
There's also the potential for good or bad news directly from Rockstar, based on the historical timing of their announcements coinciding with Take-Two earnings calls. This is why fans might be dreading the next call, as another delay announcement wouldn't be unprecedented or even surprising for many players at this point.
Overall, GTA 6 fans will want to mark February 5 on their calendars for next year given the likelihood of an update or announcement, and fans can even keep their fingers crossed for the possible release of Grand Theft Auto 6's next official trailer.
