NORMAN — OU football’s regular-season finale against LSU on Saturday will mark the final home game for several Sooner seniors.
Here’s a look at the players who are listed as seniors on the roster, though a few may have eligibility remaining after the season.

Jovantae Barnes, RB*
A Las Vegas native, Barnes has rushed for over 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns in four seasons at OU. His best season came in 2024 when he rushed for 577 yards and five touchdowns. But closest he came to playing a full season was as a freshman. Barnes has only appeared in four games this season and has missed the past seven.
Deion Burks, WR
Burks, a Purdue transfer, has recorded 697 yards and five touchdowns the past two seasons at OU. Burks dealt with injuries last season, only playing in five games. He chose to return to Norman this season and has totaled 452 yards and two touchdowns while playing in all 11 games.

Daniels has been phenomenal in his first season with the Sooners. He has played Venables’ famed hybrid position, Cheetah, and excelled with 42 tackles, nine for loss and a fumble recovery. The Beggs native spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Oklahoma State, where he started 28 games.
Kendel Dolby, CB**
Dolby’s three seasons in Norman have been a rollercoaster ride. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention honors in 2023 before sustaining a season-ending injury vs. Tennessee during the fourth game of the 2024 season. He made his return against Temple this season, but hasn’t played since Oct. 11.

Everett, one of OU’s captains this season, sustained a season-ending injury after only playing in one game. He was also banged up last season, missing the Sooners’ first five games. The Appalachian State transfer has been one of OU’s most vocal leaders despite being relegated to the sideline due to injury.
Gracen Halton, DT
Halton has been one of the Sooners’ best players this season. OU’s defensive line might be the best in the country and Halton plays a massive role. He has 27 tackles, six for loss and 3.5 sacks this season. In his four seasons with the Sooners, he has played in 45 games.

The Pittsburg State transfer has caught three passes in 10 games in his lone season at OU.
Marvin Jones Jr., DE
A former highly-touted recruit, Jones was a solid transfer portal addition this past offseason for the Sooners. The former Georgia and Florida State standout has bolstered the depth of an already deep defensive line. In 11 games this season, Jones has 19 tackles, four for loss and a sack.
Jaren Kanak, TE
In his first season as a tight end, Kanak has caught 34 passes for 457 yards. He spent his first three seasons at OU playing linebacker and started 10 games. Kanak was the lone former Clemson commit to follow coach Brent Venables when he first took the Sooners job.

Lewis, a transfer from Southern Illinois, started the season hot with nine catches for 119 yards in OU’s season-opener. Then, against Kent State on Oct. 4, he was injured during a scary collision with a brick wall on Owen Field, causing him to miss three games.
R Mason Thomas, DE
Thomas might have played his final regular season OU game against Tennessee last month, when he returned a fumble 71 yards for a touchdown. During the play, he was injured and he has yet to return to action. Thomas is one of the best defensive ends in the country and has 62 tackles, 25.5 for loss and 17 sacks across four seasons.

Melson has appeared in 10 games this season but hasn’t recorded a stat. The Mansfield, Texas, native is in his sixth season with the Sooners.
Febechi Nwaiwu, OL
Nwaiwu has been the anchor of OU’s offensive line the past two seasons. The North Texas transfer has built quite the career for himself, starting over 40 games across five seasons of college football. He was a recipient of the Sooners’ heralded Don Key Award last week.
Jaydn Ott, RB
Ott had an incredible career at Cal. His Sooners tenure can’t be described any other way but as a bust. He was one of the most coveted running backs in the transfer portal and isn’t playing for OU.

Sexton, a Deer Creek graduate, has started 14 games in four seasons with the Sooners. He hasn’t played since this season’s opener due to injury.
Derek Simmons, OT
Simmons, a Western Carolina transfer, has started six games this season.
Robert Spears-Jennings, S
Spears-Jennings has been one of OU’s best players for two seasons now. In his OU career, the Broken Arrow native has recorded 173 tackles, 7.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions.
Damonic Williams, DT
Williams was one of the most highly-recruited players out of the transfer portal a couple of offseasons ago. Since, he’s been one of the Sooners’ best leaders, totaling 60 tackles, 9 for loss and 2.5 sacks in 21 starts on one of the deepest defensive lines nationally.
