Stores that remain open on the federal holiday often keep reduced hours, so customers should call ahead to confirm local schedules, especially at franchised locations that set their own hours.
Applebee’s
Several Applebee locations will be open throughout the country, although hours may be limited.
Arby’s
Many Arby’s locations will be serving its signature roast beef sandwiches and curly fries on Thursday.
Burger King
People will be able to order Whoppers on Thanksgiving, but individual store hours may vary by location.
Cracker Barrel
The chain will serve a Thanksgiving menu on Thursday starting at 11 a.m. Customers can also pre-order a cooked “Heat & Serve” meal to round out their home spread.
Denny’s
The diner chain prides itself on staying open 24 hours a day year-round and will be open on Thanksgiving.
It’s also offering take-home Holiday Turkey Bundle that customers should pre order before 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
...Dunkin'
Many local Dunkin' locations will be open on Turkey Day with reduced hours and early closures.
IHOP
The pancake house always serves on holidays, and will be plating flapjacks and its all day breakfast menu for diners on Thursday.
McDonald's
Big Mac and Happy Meal lovers can get their fix on Thanksgiving as majority of the mega chain's locations will be open.
Starbucks
Starbucks store hours vary by location on Thanksgiving, but many will be open to meet all your holiday caffeine cravings.
Waffle House
Waffle House is always open to customers, including on federal holidays like Thanksgiving.
Wendy’s
Most Wendy's locations will be open for Frosty fans on Thursday.
Whataburger
Most Whataburger locations will remain open, offering burgers and other alternatives on the turkey-centric holiday.
What Chains Will Be Closed?
Many chains will be closed Thursday, including Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Chili’s, Panera Bread and Olive Garden. Most Taco Bell locations, along with The Cheesecake Factory and nearly all Red Lobster restaurants, also plan to shut their doors for Thanksgiving.
Several grocery retailers will be closed as well, including Aldi, Costco, Publix, Sam’s Club, Target, Trader Joe’s and Walmart.
