Deion Sanders shared an unexpected moment following the Colorado Buffaloes' loss to Arizona State, telling the media on Tuesday that former Colorado receiver Jordyn Tyson sought him out following the game to discuss their brief overlap at CU.
The Colorado head coach had to say this about the interaction:
"Jordyn Tyson found his way into my dressing room downstairs at the conclusion of the game." Sanders said. "He came in there to say, 'Coach, I apologize.'"
Tyson, who transferred from Colorado after one season, had been one of the program's most promising young playmakers but was coming off a torn ACL. What caused him to transfer is unclear, with many suspecting that Sanders did not want Tyson, which appears to be untrue. Clearly, Tyson going out of his way to connect with Sanders left an impact.

The exchange put to rest and shed light on how player departures in the transfer portal era are not always cut-and-dry.
While Tyson won't go into the NFL as a Buff, he looks set to become a first-round pick in next year's draft after a couple of stellar seasons at ASU.
