In Ohio, the Buckeye contingent tends to be just as focused on Michigan football as their own program. However, at head coach Ryan Day's press conference, there was little said about the Wolverines.
Given the pressure facing Day and Ohio State, it makes sense that much surrounds the program's own shortcomings over the past four years and the potential for change within The Game, but there wasn't much of an onus placed on the challenges Michigan presents. In part, that's because many Ohio State personalities have, again, considered it a forgone conclusion that OSU will win, yet that's been the case in the past four years.

"Well, talent, talent all over the field," Day said. "It starts on offense with the quarterback. He's a dangerous player. The running back, Marshall, is a very good player as well. Runs downhill, he's physical. Offensive line and tight ends are good. Marsh and McCulley are very good as well. So, talented.
"On defense, same thing. You see Moore and Barham off the edge. These guys are some of the best pass rushers in the country. And certainly in the back end, they've created a lot of turnovers. So special teams is very good. I mean, again, what you'd expect in this type of a team -- talent in all three phases is well-coached. And so, yeah, we've got to make sure that we're preparing at a high level this week and be at our best."
Given that some OSU pundits appear to think that Michigan has only a run game and no pass game, this analysis is, at the very least, a little more robust. Bryce Underwood has seven 200-plus-yard passing performances this season, and while that might not be in the vein of what Sayin or previous Ohio State passers have achieved, Michigan isn't asking Underwood to throw for 300 yards per game. Even so, Day appears to have a good grasp on what the Wolverines are capable of.

The Game is set for Saturday at 12:14 p.m. EST at The Big House, with the broadcast coming on Fox.
