The North Carolina Tar Heels are preparing for their final game of the regular season, facing off against NC State on Saturday. While UNC hopes to finish the season strong, its roster construction for next season is off to a good start.
On Tuesday, the Tar Heels were able to land a commitment from a former Arkansas recruiting commit. Three-star linebacker Jordan Avinger committed to North Carolina, just a few weeks after he reopened his recruitment following coaching changes with Arkansas.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker is a three-star recruit who is ranked No. 1,430 nationally, No. 120 linebacker, and No. 26 player in the state of South Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
He's the 36th player to commit to UNC in the 2026 recruiting class which is now ranked No. 17 overall.
