By Gabe WhisnantShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberHouse Democrats on the Oversight Committee on Tuesday released 14 photos and videos from Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, depicting empty courtyards, a bedroom and other interior rooms of his villa.
Lawmakers are pressing the Trump administration to turn over all remaining case files related to the federal sex trafficking investigation into the late financier. Rep. Robert Garcia, the committee’s top Democrat, said he made the images public “to ensure transparency in our investigation and to help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes.”
The Justice Department has until mid-December to comply with a new law, approved by Congress and signed by President Donald Trump, requiring the public release of many documents tied to the Epstein case.
