Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez says the near year-long recovery from his anterior cruciate ligament injury entailed "months of suffering, uncertainty, anguish and imbalance".
The centre-back picked up the injury in United's 2-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace in February and underwent surgery that sidelined him for the rest of the 2024-25 season.

"A long time not being able to do what I love most and what better way to return to the court with a very important win," Martinez wrote on Instagram after the 2-1 win.
"They were months of suffering, uncertainty, anguish, imbalance... where the lack of energy was nothing to beat me
"I was lucky enough to count on my family, friends, team-mates, fans, the club and the national team to recharge my heart. Just thank you everyone."
