Nebraska volleyball coach Dani Busboom Kelly was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year on Tuesday afternoon. Busboom Kelly led the volleyball program to an undefeated regular season, following the departure of legendary coach John Cook.
The Huskers won 30 matches and lost only seven sets. They swept 25 of their 30 games in the process. Only Kentucky and Creighton forced the program to a fifth set this season.

It has certainly been an incredible first year for Busboom Kelly. It’s also been unique, as the program has not experienced much of a drop-off following Cook’s departure. This accolade is just another reminder of how strong Lincoln's volleyball tradition is.
The program received the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament on Sunday night. The Huskers will face Long Island in the first round on Friday night at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
