Now that the girls basketball season is underway, it's time to debut the top 10 power rankings for Greater Cincinnati.
While most teams have played two games or less, the rankings are sure to see a shake up as there are plenty of premier matchups on tap this month.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementTeams from Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana populate the first rankings since those states have more than a week of play under the belt. Northern Kentucky teams will join the list next week.
All records and stats are updated through Monday, Dec. 1.

10. East Central Trojans
Record: 7-0
Analysis: The girls basketball season in the Hoosier state began way back on Nov. 5. East Central is allowing 32 points per game and has won all its games by double digits. Sophomore Natalie Stenger, junior Audrina Dugan and freshman Leah Maple lead the Trojans in scoring and combine for 13.5 steals per game.

9. Princeton Vikings
Record: 0-1
Analysis: Princeton suffered a tough season-opening loss to IMG Academy but can make a statement this month with a schedule that includes Mason, Sycamore, Lakota East, Big Walnut and Winton Woods.

8. Loveland Tigers
Record: 1-0
Analysis: Macey Allen, Bella Rogers and Katy Wilber all scored in double figures in a 20-point win over Western Brown. Early indications are the Tigers could be in for their best season since they won the 2021 Eastern Cincinnati Conference title with a 20-5 record.
This week: at Ross (Dec. 2), at West Clermont (Dec. 4), at Lebanon (Dec. 8)

Record: 1-1
Analysis: Purcell Marian pulled away from Sycamore to open the season with a 51-38 win. Samaya Wilkins and Kourtney Peterson are a formidable duo in the paint and while the defense is as strong as ever, the offense will eventually round out after scoring 13 points in the second half in a loss to Milford.
This week: vs. Cincinnati Country Day (Dec. 3), at Roger Bacon (Dec. 8)
6. Mount Notre Dame Cougars
Record: 1-0
Analysis: The Cougars are out to make a statement this season and they started on the right foot with a 38-point win over Upper Arlington. Mia Vieth lit it up from beyond the arc and the team shot 66.7 percent from inside the arc.

5. Milford Eagles
Record: 2-0
Analysis: Milford became the first Southwest Ohio team to beat Purcell Marian since Summit Country Day on Dec. 4, 2021. The Eagles also opened the conference slate with a win over Anderson. Gabby Chadwell is leading the team with 17 points per game.
This week: at Turpin (Dec. 4)
4. Walnut Hills Eagles
Record: 2-0
Analysis: The Eagles are picking up where they left off after appearing in the DI regional final in 2025. Jasia Ross and Honesty Billups are leading the team in scoring, and Onyx O'Neill has fit right back into the fold after missing the second half of her junior season.

3. Mason Comets
Record: 2-0
Analysis: Senior Anna Habra and sophomore Taylor Stanfield are leading the Comets through two games, combining for 33 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Mason already looks primed to win a fifth straight Greater Miami Conference title.
This week: at Princeton (Dec. 5)
2. West Clermont Wolves
Record: 2-0
Analysis: The Wolves have a plethora of scoring options this season as five players are averaging at least 7 points per game so far. Indiana State soccer signee Meagyn Riffle is dishing out four assists per game. West Clermont faces its first test of the season when it hosts Loveland.

1. Winton Woods Warriors
Record: 2-0
Analysis: The Warriors held Lawrence North (Indiana) scoreless in the fourth quarter of a season-opening win before holding off Western Reserve Academy. They have won three of the last four ECC titles, but another one this season won't come easily.
This week: at Kings (Dec. 4), at Harvest Prep (Dec. 6), at Walnut Hills (Dec. 8)
