Washington has been gearing up for fireworks to close out the 2026 cycle.

After hosting a flip target twice in the last month, the Huskies dug out the spatula in time for the Early Signing Period beginning Wednesday.

Washington flipped Industry Ranking 4-star WR Jordan Clay away from Baylor on Monday night.

The decision comes on the heels of Clay’s second visit logged to Seattle in the last one, including an official visit at the top of November that yielded an offer from the Huskies. Clay returned, unofficially, over the weekend.

Washington has been trending up in this race ever since.

“Washington has been on me and they have been on me solid for the last few months,” Clay told Rivals’ Chad Simmons of the decision to flip.

“They have made me and my family feel great! They treated us as good as they possibly could, and the fans there treated me great, too!” he continued. “I love the offense and how Coach (Jeff) Fisch calls the plays. I love the place and the atmosphere, and the coaching staff is amazing all the way down to the trainers!”

The No. 29 WR in the 2026 class from San Antonio (Texas) James Madison took visits to both Washington and Wisconsin this month — his first visits since committing to Baylor in July over Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas and others.

Clay is tabbed as the No. 178 overall prospect in the country and the No. 25-ranked prospect from the state of Texas in this cycle.
