For the second time in November, Carolina knocked off the top seed of the NFC. After freezing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 9, they upended the Los Angeles Rams at home in a 31-28 victory to close out the month here in Week 13.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSunday's upset win fortified the 7-6 Panthers as an actual playoff contender, and had head coach Dave Canales singing his guys' praises the following afternoon.
"Just really proud of the group," Canales told reporters on Monday. "Taking advantage of some opportunities, and really just playing the full game with great effort and finding the execution late.
"We talk about finish, do right longer—and that's what our guys continued to find in that game. Love the way that we played a really complementary game with each other."
