Manchester United coaches and staff have been baffled by the decision of England manager Thomas Tuchel to keep ignoring Luke Shaw from his Three Lion squad, according to the Sun. The Man United star has started in all 13 Premier League games for the Old Trafford club so far this season. However, Tuchel does not appear to be a fan of Shaw and the 30-year-old Red Devils left-back last played for his country back in July 2024.

Shaw did not play until the quarter-final of the tournament, but he started the final against Spain as he was a key player under Southgate. Tuchel has preferred others to Shaw, with 20-year-old Manchester City left-back Nico O’Reilly featuring in the final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania last month.
Newcastle United’s Dan Burn and Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence appear to be ahead of the Man United star in the pecking order of the German. Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly was dropped from the squad last month having been invited in the last two international breaks, and it appears Shaw is behind him too.
