NORTHEAST KANSAS (KSNT) – This week’s edition focuses on K-State’s bowl-clinching sixth win of the season, KU’s final game of the season and the results of the NCAA Volleyball Selection Show.

• K-State defeats Colorado 24-14, meaning the ‘Cats will play in a bowl game for the fifth-straight season

• Joe Jackson stayed hot, rushing for 142 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday’s win

• Seniors Taylor Poitier and Uso Seumalo are excited to play one last game with their team, especially after starting the season 2-4

• KU dropped its final game of the regular season to No. 13 Utah 31-21 Friday morning, missing bowl eligibility for the second-straight season

• Senior quarterback Jalon Daniels wrapped up his career with the Jayhawks, becoming the second ‘Hawk with over 10,000 total yards of offense

• Leshon Williams and Daniel Hishaw Jr. each rushed for 100 yards in Friday’s loss, earning Hishaw the ball on ‘Senior Day.’

• KU men’s basketball wrapped up the ‘Players Era Tournament’ in Las Vegas with wins over Notre Dame, Syracuse and Tennessee; the ‘Hawks placed third and won $300,000 for the NIL collective

• K-State men’s basketball fell to No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers, 86-69

• KU women’s hoops went 0-2 on its trip to Florida, losing to Georgia and Dayton; junior S’Mya Nichols scored 40 points in the ‘Hawks loss to the Bulldogs

• K-State women’s basketball was 1-2 in the Cancun Challenge after defeating Columbia 95-92, before falling to No. 12 North Carolina and South Dakota State; junior Taryn Sides scored 27 against the Jackrabbits

• Kansas volleyball defeated both No. 21 Iowa State and UCF 3-1 in its final two matches of the regular season

• K-State volleyball fell to UCF in five sets, before sweeping No. 21 Iowa State in its final two matches of the regular season

• KU volleyball was selected as the No. 4 seed in the Lincoln Regional of the NCAA tournament, hosting round one from Horejsi Arena; the ‘Hawks will play High Point on Dec. 4 at 6:30 p.m.

• K-State was selected to the Lincoln Regional, where they’ll play No. 8 seed San Diego on Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
