Vikings' Max Brosmer gets astronomical stat prediction for Seahawks game from ex-NFL coach originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
There are bold predictions and then there are ones like former NFL head coach Steve Mariucci gave for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBrosmer will be making his first NFL start in Week 13 after fellow signal-caller J.J. McCarthy suffered a concussion last week. Brosmer has thrown eight passes this season, but all came in garbage time.
There are so many reasons to believe that Brosmer will struggle against the Seattle Seahawks, but former NFL head coach and current NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci doesn't see it that way.
Instead, he boldy predicts that Brosmer will throw for 485 yards against the Seahawks.
Yeah, good luck with that.
Of course, Mariucci was asked for a bold prediction, but even that is beyond bold.
Considering the circumstances of the matchup he's facing, put Brosmer in the Hall of Fame today if he accomplishes that feat.

Not only is he squaring off against an elite defense that sports a talented secondary and top-notch pass rush, he's also making his debut in hostile territory at Lumen Field, a notoriously tough place to play, especially because of all the noise.
All of that is exactly why the Vikings are 11.5-point underdogs for this contest, a spread that is the largest of any of the remaining games this weekend.
The Vikings will be lucky to escape Lumen Field with a win, let alone a big showing from Brosmer.
