1. Alabama
Unlike the College Football Playoff committee, these rankings value quality wins. The Crimson Tide stay atop the pecking order despite a loss to Gonzaga.

John Calipari must find a way to turn moral victories against good opponents into wins that actually count toward the NCAA tournament resume.
