The White House added a new section to its official website dedicated to calling out media outlets and journalists who they believe misrepresent or exaggerate stories involving President Donald Trump.

The page opens with, “Misleading. Biased. Exposed.” It then condemns the Boston Globe, CBS News, and the Independent, calling them the “media offenders of the week.” The site claims that these platforms mischaracterized Trump and his comments about Democratic lawmakers who posted a video urging the military not to carry out corrupt orders.

The uproar began after Trump took to his Truth Social account and said that these Democrats deserved to be "arrested and put on trial" for their rebellious behavior. He added that law enforcement must make "an example" out of them.

A statement on the website argues that Democrats and the media wrongly accused Trump of giving illegal commands to the military. It insists that all his instructions were legal and claims that telling troops to defy orders is irresponsible behavior, especially by members of Congress. And, as a result, they should face severe consequences.

The Democrats and Fake News Media subversively implied that President Trump had issued illegal orders to service members. Every order President Trump has issued has been lawful. It is dangerous for sitting Members of Congress to incite insubordination in the United States’ military, and President Trump called for them to be held accountable.

The website also has an “Offender Hall of Shame.” It consists of outlets such as CNN, the Washington Post, CBS News, and MSNBC. Users can scroll through an archive of stories about President Trump or his Administration and the writers behind them. The articles are tagged under “bias,” “malpractice,” or “left-wing lunacy.” The Washington Post is currently listed as the number one offender at the time of this article's publication.

In addition to the top "offenders" of the week, the White House page includes a broader roster of outlets it claims spread fake news. This list includes the Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Politico, New York Times, and Axios.

This new development is just one of the many attacks in Trump's war against the press. It comes on the heels of lawsuits against several of the above publications, hurling insults at female journalists, and attempting to cancel late-night hosts such as Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers.
