Chainsaw Man is one of the most exciting shōnen anime series of the past few years, and one Devil Hybrid who was introduced recently has taken the world by storm. The franchise is filled with a myriad of interesting Devils with a range of powers, but one Devil Hybrid's powers might not be as great as they seem.
The Devils in Chainsaw Man exist as a reflection of humanity's fears, and the more humanity fears something, the stronger the Devil becomes. When a human undergoes a contract with a Devil, they can assume their form, becoming a Hybrid of a Human-Devil.
They're interesting creatures in the series and often take the top spots among the strongest characters overall, but one Hybrid's greatest strength is a bit of a weakness.
Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc Is Unreal

Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc is one of the best anime movies of all time. It made full use of the fact that it was in theaters, showcasing some of the best animation the series has ever seen. The sound design was stellar as well, as each of Reze's explosions was an auditory masterpiece.
Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc also made a wise decision when animating a single arc of the franchise in its entirety. One of the most frustrating things about Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was the fact that only a portion of the final saga was animated, making it an oddly-paced film overall.
Out of everything that Chainsaw Man the Movie did well, one of the greatest was introducing one of the most dangerously enchanting characters in the entire Chainsaw Man universe: Reze.
Reze Feels Pain Every Time She Transforms

Reze is a Hybrid, merging with the Bomb Devil. The Bomb Devil, as shown in the film, is one of the most powerful and destructive Devils around. Reze is able to destroy entire buildings with her explosions, taking down entire city blocks in a few moments.
While Reze is incredibly powerful, even she's not immune to her own blasts. Reze feels each of her explosions brutally, making her like Wolverine in the worst way possible. Wolverine famously feels pain every time he extends his claws, feeling the shredding of his own skin constantly.
Reze is a brutal, albeit redeemable, character in the film, and this aspect only makes her a more sympathetic character in the Chainsaw Man franchise. Hopefully, there's more to see of her in the franchise's future, but maybe her ending in the film was for the best.
