CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers got back to work on Saturday at practice following a road win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. It was a light practice as the Sixers had to find time to prepare for the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, but a practice nonetheless.
As the media was allowed to enter the gym after practice, star big man Joel Embiid was shooting free throws as it appeared he was finishing up a workout. When considering the big fella hasn't played since Nov. 8 due to a bothersome right knee issue, that is a good sign for him and the Sixers as they move forward.

"That was it for practice. So, yeah, he (Embiid) got a little workout in afterwards."
While Embiid's status for Sunday's matchup with the Hawks will be determined when the injury report comes out on Saturday evening, the Sixers will likely be without big man Andre Drummond who left the win over the Nets due to a right knee sprain.
The Sixers stated that his MRI didn't reveal any damage and he reported that he was feeling better on Saturday, so all of that is good news for Nurse and the rest of the team.
"That is," Nurse stated on Drummond. "He's still a little sore and stuff, but that is awesome that it's nothing—I mean, he should be back out there fairly soon. I don't know when that'll be, but that’s great news. He was walking around. He was actually on the court a little bit today. So that's good."
