Jarek’s Pre-tipoff Thoughts:

Well this should be an easy victory for Nebraska. USC Upstate according to the KenPom rankings is 309th, which is in the bottom 50 of the country. Having said that, Nebraska did struggle a few games ago against Maryland Eastern-Shore, who is roughly in the same area of KenPom. Nebraska is also dealing with some injuries, as Berke Buyuktuncel won’t play and Connor Essegian left the Winthrop game early with a leg issue. Leo Curtis is also dinged up, leaving Rienk Mast as the only big man available for the Huskers.

Nebraska shouldn’t have many problems getting good looks, as USC Upstate is 292nd in defensive rankings, giving up 112.7 points per 100 possessions. The Huskers will get some much-needed time off after this game, mainly due to finals coming up soon. It’s a good time to get a lot of guys to play before Creighton comes calling next week. Huskers stroll and continue the nation’s longest winning streak. Prediction: Nebraska 91 USC Upstate 64
