Texas A&M's recruiting success is never surprising under head coach Mike Elko, who has continued what former HC Jimbo Fisher started, and is on his way to landing another top 5-ranked cycle, as the 2026 recruiting class is predicted to flip five-star safety Bralan Womack and four-star edge KJ Ford before Early Signing Day.
However, Elko isn't the only coach that deserves immense credit for the Aggies' turnaround, as second-year offensive line coach Adam Cushing has continued to perform like one of the best assistants in the country, helping develop this season's elite O-line, several future first or second day NFL Draft selections, while thriving on the recruiting trail.

Still, due to the transfer portal's popularity, every program, including Texas A&M, needs to prepare for the inevitable before it's too late. Shifting to the 2027 cycle, the Aggies are now in contention for blue-chip four-star offensive tackle Qua Ford.
This week, Ford included Texas A&M in his top 5, joining Ohio State, Oregon, SMU, and Tennessee, as the standout tackle visited College Station during the Aggies' 27-point comeback win over South Carolina, witnessing one of the most impressive second-half performances in program history.
After landing five-star tackle/guard Lamont Rogers in the 2025 class, Texas A&M's future bookend starters are all but set, while Qua Ford would represent the future.
According to 247Sports, Qua Ford is currently positioned as the 118th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 12th-ranked offensive tackle, and the 18th-ranked prospect in Texas.
