Larsson back on Bayern’s radar? (The Athletic’s David Ornstein and Seb Stafford-Bloor)
Bayern Munich could be looking to bolster its midfield this summer and it might not have to look too far to find someone that it likes.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementEintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson is reportedly on the radar of the Bavarians and could be relatively affordable:
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson (21) has attracted some of the biggest suitors in Germany (including Bayern Munich) and England, although a January switch is not anticipated. All parties view next summer as a good time. The Sweden international has a contract until June 2029, so it might take a fee of around €50million to €55m to secure his services.
This is not the first time that we have heard of Bayern Munich’s interest in Larsson, who has been considered a to prospect for years. The 21-year-old Swede profiles as a No. 8 and could be an interesting player to throw into the mix in Bavaria.
Barca eyeing multiple options to bolster squad, including Schlotterbeck (ESPN)
FC Barcelona has a lot of requests on its wish list — with one of them being Borussia Dortmund center-back Nico Schlotterbeck:
Barcelona aim to sign a center back, striker and left winger in the summer, according to Mundo Deportivo. At the back, they are looking at Sporting CP’s Gonçalo Inacio, Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck, Palmeiras’ Luiz Benedetti and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi. Up front, the Blaugrana like Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez but a deal would be difficult to complete. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland seems like “another impossible dream,” so Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane is gaining traction with his €65m release clause. Out wide, Barça will decide whether to trigger their €30m option to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United based on his performances, while AC Milan’s Rafael Leão continues to be linked and Raphinha could depart amid Saudi Pro League interest.
We know that Bayern Munich also wants Schlotterbeck, who still has another season left on his contract. If the center-back wants to leave BVB in the summer of 2026, FC Barcelona might be more equipped to take him than Bayern Munich.

Even if Bayern Munich sells Sacha Boey, it would not replace him:
Even if Sacha Boey were to be sold, Bayern have made their internal decision not to be active in the upcoming January transfer window as far as incomings are concerned.
Bayern Munich has both Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić at the position and Boey is really just an overflow-type player. Any fee the club can get for him would be a big help.
Bayern won’t consider sale of Olise (The Athletic’s David Ornstein and Seb Stafford-Bloor)
If there is anyone still worried about Michael Olise leaving Bayern Munich, The Athletic is here to ease your concern:
There is no release clause in Michael Olise’s Bayern contract. Interest in Olise is natural but Bayern see him as fundamental to their future and are eager to extend his contract, which expires in 2029. They are not entertaining the possibility of a sale.
To think…this whole release clause business starter with some dope, who created an X account just to try and mess with people (and even worse, some English outlets still cite this idiot as a legitimate source).

Real Madrid really wants Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté:
There is a difference of perspectives when it comes to Ibrahima Konaté, as Real Madrid are confident that they will sign the centre-back as a free agent while Liverpool are happy about how his situation is progressing, TEAMtalk reports. The 26-year-old’s contract at Anfield expires in the summer, but the latest round of talks are believed to have been promising. The France international is Los Blancos’ priority at centre-back with Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano being the back-up option.
Milan, Roma also want Djú (Calciomercato via ESPN)
AC Milan and AS Roma are both rumored to be interested in Midtjylland striker and rumored Bayern Munich transfer target Franculino Djú:
Midtjylland striker Franculino Djú is wanted by various top clubs across Europe, including AC Milan and Roma.
