The Irish will take on the Stanford Cardinal for the rights to the Legends Trophy, and the stakes are very high. Regardless of all of the talk concerning scenarios, it’s still mostly a WIN AND YOU’RE IN game for Notre Dame. That’s something they can control. What they can’t control are the other games around the country and the possibility of a playoff berth — or even the possibility of hosting a playoff game in South Bend.
But they’re in Palo Alto right now.
