The Seattle Seahawks find themselves facing an incredibly favorable quarterback matchup this coming Sunday. Seattle will host the Minnesota Vikings for a rematch from last season. Only this time, then-Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold is now a Seahawk, and an undrafted free agent rookie named Max Brosmer will be leading the charge for the Purple People Eaters.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday that Vikings starter JJ McCarthy is still in concussion protocol and has been officially ruled OUT for Week 13 vs the Seahawks.

We at Seahawks Wire covered this story earlier in the week when McCarthy was announced he was entering concussion protocol. Now, Minnesota's quarterback situation has become crystal clear, for better or worse.

Of course, while this is obviously favorable on paper to the Seahawks, the team must not get too sure of themselves. The one advantage the Vikings have going into this game with Brosmer is the fact Seattle has no NFL tape on him. Really, the Seahawks have no idea what to expect. The only people who do are the Vikings coaching staff, who are excellent and will do their best to put him in a situation to succeed.

Sunday's game is another "must-win" for Seattle. They need this win to keep pace with the first place Rams, who have an absurdly favorable schedule to close out the year.
