After two long years when we barely heard a peep, fans of Record of Ragnarok can breathe easy because we finally know what we've all been craving: Season 3 premieres worldwide on Netflix on December 10, 2025. A teaser was released alongside the announcement, and it was pretty clear that the brutal, myth-shattering battles are far from over. Based on the hit manga by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, Record of Ragnarok follows the ultimate tournament: a 13-round, gods-vs-humans death match where the first side to claim seven victories wins control of the world for 1,000 years. Season 3 picks up immediately after Season 2’s explosive finale, thrusting viewers straight into some of the most anticipated matchups in the entire series.

As with previous seasons, the new episodes highlight a huge cast of gods and legendary historical figures, including:

  • Nikola Tesla (Makoto Furukawa)
  • King Leonidas (Hiroshi Shirokuma)
  • Hades (Ryotaro Okiayu)
  • Beelzebub (Daisuke Namikawa)
  • Nostradamus (Shun Horie)

With its signature blend of mythology, madness, and emotional storytelling, Record of Ragnarok is gearing up for what may be its most ambitious season yet.

What Can We Expect From 'Record of Ragnarok' Season 3?

When the new season was announced earlier this year, the creative team made it clear that Season 3 is designed to push everything — fights, animation, and character arcs — to the next level. The creators also mentioned some fight scenes they are excited to see in Record of Ragnarok III, including the Nikola Tesla battle, one of the manga series' fan-favorite fights. We will know exactly why by this time next month. Writer Shinya Umemura shared:

“I’m so grateful that the third season of the anime is being produced. This is all thanks to everyone’s support — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to see how that one move by Nikola Tesla appears on screen!”

Story structure creator Takumi Fukui added:

“Much time has passed since the explosive ending to the second season. Thanks to the support of our fans, the third season is finally here! How will that fiery battle we depicted in the comic be recreated? How will certain moves and scenes come to life on screen?… I can’t wait for everyone to see the continuation of the battle between gods and humanity!”

Record of Ragnarok Season 3 arrives December 10, 2025, on Netflix.
