Inglourious Basterds is about to leave its convenient streaming home. The Quentin Tarantino dark comedy was released in 2009, also a period piece that chronicles a group of Jewish U.S. soldiers who plot to assassinate a group of Nazi leaders. The movie stars Brad Pitt in the lead role, with a supporting cast that includes Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz, and Diane Kruger.

Inglourious Basterds was nominated for several Oscars, with Waltz winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his legendary villain performance. However, as per Netflix, Inglourious Basterds is leaving the streaming platform soon. The streamer shows its departure date as November 30, giving subscribers only a few short days to catch the seminal movie.

Inglourious Basterds is also available to rent on Prime Video, and will remain so after the end of the month, but it simply will not have a streaming home unless another service picks it up.

Inglourious Basterds is an incredibly revered entry within Tarantino's filmography. The film is often cited as the director's best film of the 21st century, in close competition with Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. Also incredibly important in Waltz's career, it led to the actor's first Oscar nomination. He would go on to win Best Supporting Actor again when he re-teamed with Tarantino for Django Unchained.

Inglourious Basterds was also responsible for further establishing Pitt as an A-list actor who could meld well with an auteur director like Tarantino. Taking a similar path as Waltz, Pitt would go on to work with Tarantino again in 2019's Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood, which earned him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

As such, streaming audiences might miss Inglourious Basterds once it leaves Netflix. The movie is likely to surge in popularity over the next few days as it enters the "leaving soon" categorization on the streaming site. Hopefully, this means that another streamer will pick up the film sometime in the future.

In the meantime, the potential popularity surge of Inglourious Basterds will help audiences gear up for Tarantino's next project. This David Fincher-directed The Adventures of Cliff Booth (written by Tarantino) will delve further into the life of Pitt's Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood character. Netflix audiences may miss Tarantino for now, but they have something coming down the pike.
