Avengers: Doomsday is about to shake up the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a big way, and the franchise is getting ready to release the movie's next major reveal, which happens to be what fans have been waiting for. So far, Marvel has officially announced Avengers: Doomsday's cast. The studio also revealed that Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom is the villain of the next two Avengers movies.
Aside from that, we don't really know anything about the story of the next Avengers movie. Different from most Multiverse Saga releases, Avengers: Doomsday set photos and videos did not slip through, which is quite impressive. As such, fans are mostly in the dark going into the 2026 Marvel movie. Thankfully, that will soon change, with December bringing along an important reveal.
The Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Will Be Released Soon

A report from Collider confirmed that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be released in theaters with Disney's Avatar: Fire and Ash. Given that both the Avatar movie and the upcoming Avengers entry exist within the studio's umbrella, the move makes a lot of sense. As such, with Avatar: Fire and Ash releasing in theaters on December 19, so should the Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
Today, November 28, marks exactly three weeks before the arrival of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. Given the secrecy surrounding the MCU movie, anticipation is high for the first Doomsday footage. Due to that, it is unlikely that Marvel will quickly release the trailer online, possibly leaving it as a theater exclusive for at least a couple of weeks to boost its event nature.
What We Expect From The First Avengers: Doomsday Trailer

With the Avengers: Doomsday trailer's release date confirmed, the main questions that remain are what will be shown in the footage and how long the trailer will be. Pertaining to the latter, I'm convinced Marvel will share a trailer in the 0:50 to 1:00 range.
The reason is simple, as the first teasers for the live-action Moana, The Devil Wears Prada 2, and Toy Story 5, all within the Disney umbrella, fell within that range. Given that Avengers: Doomsday only releases in theaters on December 18, 2026, it makes sense for Marvel to release a teaser that focuses more on the tone and characters than the story itself, a year away from release.
With major events like the Super Bowl and San Diego Comic-Con in 2026, full trailers could be released then. I expect next month's Avengers: Doomsday trailer to spotlight Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, revealing his suit, powers, and giving a general idea of his story.
Additionally, a look at the confirmed characters, with a possible surprise reveal or two, such as the reported return of Chris Evans' Captain America, would boost interest in Avengers: Doomsday.
