Quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with tight end Isaiah Likely for what should have been a long touchdown play that included an impressive hurdle by Likely.

However, before Likely could cross the goal line, he had the ball knocked out of his hands and it went out of bounds in the end zone.

So, instead of a touchdown, which was the initial call, the play was ultimately ruled a touchback after review, giving the ball to the Bengals and wiping six points off the board for Baltimore.

Just a brutal result on what was otherwise a great play by Likely.

And, it just goes to show you that defenders should never give up on a play, no matter how bleak things might look.

Had Likely gotten the ball across the goal line, the Ravens would've taken a two-score lead. Instead, Baltimore's lead remains 7-6.
