Major NFL playoff implications were at stake as the Green Bay Packers traveled to face the Detroit Lions for a classic NFC North showdown on Thanksgiving Day. And Jordan Love certainly played like it.
Love and the Packers entered Thursday's game against the Lions tied for second place in the division with the Lions, both needing wins to remain competitive in a tight NFC playoff picture. With his team needing him to step up, Love did exactly what was expected of him as he marched into Ford Field and went 18-of-30 passing for 234 yards and four touchdowns to help lead the Packers to a 31-28 win.

With four passing touchdowns in a single game, he matched his previous career-high – he previously threw four touchdowns twice in 2024, against the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings. He is also the first Packers quarterback since Brett Favre in 1994 to throw for four touchdowns on Thanksgiving.
"Jordan was on fire all night," Packers defensive lineman Micah Parsons said following the win.
With the victory, the Packers own the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Lions after sweeping their two games against the franchise this season, and move into a share of the NFC North lead with the Chicago Bears, shoring up their chances of landing in the playoffs come the offseason and keeping themselves right in the hunt for the divisional title.
"Very big," Love said after the win. "We knew what was at stake with this game and every division game we have. The NFC North is a tight race. There's a lot of good football teams in our division, and we have to handle our business every time we get the [opportunity]."
