The Detroit Lions have provided an injury update on wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSt. Brown suffered an ankle injury in the first half of the Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers and never returned to the game.
After the game, there was a mixed update from Lions head coach Dan Campbell.
The good news is, St. Brown has avoided a significant injury. The bad news is, he is expected to miss time, and quite possibly as many as two weeks.
"Dan Campbell said he'll know more tomorrow but it could be a week or two for Amon-Ra St. Brown with the ankle injury; not long-, long-term," the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett relayed.
St. Brown is one of the toughest players in the NFL, so we would bet on him making it back on the shorter end of that timeline.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementLosing St. Brown for any period of time will be a tough blow for the Lions' offense, which is already without tight end Sam LaPorta, who could miss the rest of the season, and wide receiver Kalif Raymond sat out in Week 13.
If St. Brown sits, the Lions are going to need more out of Jameson Williams, who stepped up big time on Thursday, and rookie Isaac TeSlaa and Raymond if he can return in Week 14.
We'll get our next update official update on St. Brown when the Lions release their first Week 14 injury report on Monday, but we would suspect there will be some reporting on his status before then.
