The 2004 sci-fi horror series Lost set the bar for a mysterious story that keeps delving deeper into its lore. Created by Damon Lindelof, the series ran for six seasons on ABC, concluding in 2010 after airing 121 episodes. Jack Bender, Jeff Pinkner, and Javier Grillo-Marxuach were part of the series in various roles, primarily as writers and executive producers. Harold Perrineau also starred in the show. Twelve years after Lost ended, the aforementioned people teamed up for one of the most terrifying sci-fi horror shows ever, FROM. The MGM+ drama has all the qualities of Lost dialed up to the nth degree. This is why the series has gained a cult following and remains one of the most-streamed shows on MGM+ in the US. The show has also been licensed in multiple countries where it dominates on platforms like Paramount+, OSN, and Starz.
Like Lost, FROM focuses on an isolated community that finds itself in the middle of a catastrophe without any idea how it got there. The show is set in an unidentified town where, once inside, people can never leave. Sure, they drive thinking they're leaving, only to find themselves re-entering. Eventually, they give up, but that's just the beginning. The town is haunted by horrifying monsters who come out at night to taunt and kill those unlucky enough to fall into their trap. No one knows why they are stuck or how to leave. Perrineau stars as Boyd, the town's sheriff who tries to maintain law and order while fighting his own demons. It's a battle for survival as the townsfolk fight the monsters from the woods and those from within while trying to figure out how to live together before they find a way out — if they find a way out.
'FROM' Will Be Back
The show has continued to thrive with each passing season, and MGM+ quickly greenlit a fourth season after the third finished airing. FROM Season 4 wrapped filming on November 21, bringing the next chapter of the mystery closer to our screens. The season is expected to be monumental following the massive discovery made in the Season 3 finale. FROM also stars Catalina Sandino Moreno (Tabitha Matthews), Eion Bailey (Jim Matthews), David Alpay (Jade Herrera), Elizabeth Saunders (Donna Raines), Scott McCord (Victor Kavanaugh), Ricky He (Kenny Liu), Chloe Van Landschoot (Kristi Miller), Corteon Moore (Ellis Stevens), Hannah Cheramy (Julie Matthews), Simon Webster (Ethan Matthews), Avery Konrad (Sara Myers), and Pegah Ghafoori (Fatima Hassan).
Stream all three seasons on MGM+ in the US and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
