We’re less than a month away from the premiere of the highly anticipated Fallout Season 2, so it's no surprise that the post-apocalyptic video game adaptation is once again the number one show on Prime Video. The highly acclaimed sci-fi drama is easily one of the most popular series on the streaming service, earning the adoration of fans and critics alike. But while you’re waiting for the show’s return, there are plenty more great titles to check out on the service’s catalog. From animated comedies to landmark dramas and fantasy series, Prime Video has something to offer everyone. So, without further ado, here’s a look at three great shows we think you should binge on Prime Video this week.

3 ‘Hazbin Hotel’ (2024 - Present)

Created, directed, and executive-produced by Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano, Hazbin Hotel is an adult animated musical comedy series that follows Charlie Morningstar, the crown princess of Hell. Looking for a way to help sinners be redeemed and ascend to Heaven, Charlie sets out to create a hotel that she hopes will help rehabilitate souls and reduce Hell’s overpopulation problem. The show stars Erika Henningsen as the voice of Charlie, with Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, and Christian Borle in other lead voice roles.

Hazbin Hotel started as a fully independent YouTube pilot, crowdfunded by Medrano’s Patreon followers and made by freelance animators. The pilot’s viral success led to the show being picked up by A24, and the first season premiered on Prime Video in January 2024, receiving highly positive reviews from critics and fans. A wild, demonic comedy with endearing characters, great music, and a lot of heart, the series is arguably one of the best adult animated shows of the 2020s, with two seasons out so far and a third and fourth currently in production.

2 ‘JAG’ (1995 - 2005)

A landmark network TV series, JAG (short for Judge Advocate General) is a military legal drama show created by Donald P. Bellisario. The series follows the stories of Judge Advocates working for the U.S. Navy's Office of the Judge Advocate General as they defend and prosecute naval and marine personnel accused of committing crimes. The show stars David James Elliott, Tracey Needham, Catherine Bell, Patrick Labyorteaux, John M. Jackson, Scott Lawrence, Zoe McLellan, and more.

JAG is best remembered as the show that spawned the hit series NCIS, a spin-off that has largely overshadowed its parent series. But though NCIS may be more recognizable, JAG is quite an entertaining show in its own right. The series originally aired on NBC for its first season before moving to CBS for nine more, steadily climbing the ratings charts with each subsequent installment and thrilling millions of viewers with its ripped-from-the-headlines stories. The show also earned several accolades, including three Emmy Awards out of 11 nominations.

1 ‘Merlin’ (2008 - 2012)

A fan-favorite British fantasy drama series, Merlin was created by Julian Jones, Jake Michie, Johnny Capps, and Julian Murphy. Inspired by the legends of King Arthur and his titular court wizard, the series stars Colin Morgan as Merlin, a young warlock who is sent to live in Camelot, where magic is strictly outlawed, and forms a friendship with Prince Arthur (Bradley James). The show also features Katie McGrath, Angel Coulby, Richard Wilson, Anthony Head, and John Hurt in key roles.

A popular reimagining of Arthurian legends, Merlin premiered in 2008 to mixed reviews but steadily improved over the course of its five-season run to become a successful fantasy show with a large international following. It’s an enjoyable fantasy coming-of-age series that the whole family can enjoy, anchored by the chemistry between its two leads, and its story offers plenty of action, adventure, and comedy. The series earned several honors during its original run, including the 2011 British Academy Television Award for Best Visual Effects, and it still commands a dedicated fanbase over a decade after its conclusion.
