Here are three matchups we'll be concentrating on in this Week 13 game.

Giants LB Abdul Carter vs. Pats' backup LT

The Patriots put their starting left tackle, rookie Will Campbell (knee), on injured reserve (IR) on Wednesday and will turn to either Vedarian Lowe or Thayer Munford Jr. in this game. Campbell has played 738 of the team's 778 offensive snaps this season, so he will be missed.

The Giants have been starting rookie Abdul Carter at left outside linebacker in place of Kayvon Thibodeaux (shoulder) for the past two games and will likely start again with Thibodeaux not practicing. Carter has played on 72.5 percent of the Giants' defensive snaps this year in various roles. He has just a half-sack on the year, but has registered 12 QB hits and a fumble recovery.

Giants' run defense vs. Pats RB TreVeyon Henderson

The Giants are last in the NFL against the run and have issues with running backs receiving the ball as well. They are allowing 157.7 yards per game on the ground and are 31st in the red zone. Last week in Detroit, they gave up 237 yards on the ground, including two touchdown runs of 39 and 69 yards to Jahmyr Gibbs.

The rookie TreVeyon Henderson has been lighting up the scoresheet as of late and has become the darling of fantasy football enthusiasts after two breakout performances in Weeks 10 and 11.

Giants TE Theo Johnson vs. Patriots' safeties

The Giants have wanted to lean on Theo Johnson more than they have thus far. He's been excellent at times, showing signs of breaking out, but then recedes with a bad drop or a missed opportunity. He has over 75 yards receiving in two of his last three.

Which safety the Pats will counter with is the question. Will it be Jaylinn Hawkins or Craig Woodson, or a combination of both? Hawkins is ranked fifth out of 94 NFL safeties this year by Pro Football Focus.
