Hello there cowboy, it would appear Red Dead Redemption is officially back with a brand-new release, and you can register to play it right now. Heck, it's something to do while we wait for GTA 6 at least.
While GTA 6 has, of course, been delayed to November 2026, Rockstar Games has another little surprise up its sleeve for gamers. We're headed back to the jaw-dropping world of Red Dead Redemption, and it couldn't be coming at a better time.
Red Dead Redemption Is Officially Back
And it's about time

Rockstar Games recently confirmed that it was releasing the original Red Dead Redemption again, alongside the brilliant Undead Nightmare DLC, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Expect free upgrades, the ability to carry over game progress, and a whole host of enhancements.
As cool as this is, perhaps even more exciting is the news that Red Dead Redemption is coming to mobile devices for the first time. There are plenty of gamers out there who roll their eyes at the idea of mobile gaming, obviously, but if a classic like Red Dead Redemption can reach as wide an audience as possible, I'd say that's a good thing.
The classic western will be available on iOS and Android devices, and will be free to Netflix subscribers.
Here's what Rockstar has to say:
"More players than ever before will be able to experience these classics and take Marston’s journey with them wherever they go with Red Dead Redemption’s debut on compatible iOS and Android devices — which includes mobile-friendly control options. Netflix members will also be able to download and play these versions on December 2 as part of their subscription."
You Can Register To Play On Mobile Now
Launch is impending, so get on it
If you're interested, Netflix has now shared a link to pre-register for the game, which will release across all platforms on December 3.
It remains to be seen just how well Red Dead Redemption will run on mobile devices. Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on mobile not too long ago, and while the consensus was that it was an upgrade from the console ports, that really isn't saying much. By all accounts the collection was something of a mixed bag. Here's hoping Red Dead Redemption fares better, because John Marston's final journey deserves respect.
