Larry Fitzgerald is a semifinalist for 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame

It is expected that former Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2026. The next step for that to happen has taken place.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced that the 52 candidates for the 2026 class were trimmed in half to 26 semifinalists.

Fitzgerald made the cut, as expected.

Fitzgerald played 17 seasons for the Cardinals. He is No. 2 all-time in the NFL with 1,432 receptions and No. 2 all-time with 17,492 receiving yards. His 121 career touchdown receptions are sixth all-time.

He was an 11-time Pro Bowler and was named first-team All-Pro once and twice to the second team. He was also a Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award winner.

This is Fitzgerald's first year of eligibility.

The next step in the process will be to trim the list to 15 finalists later in the year.
