The Missouri Tigers finish the regular season on Saturday afternoon against the Arkansas Razorbacks in the latest edition of the Battle Line Rivalry. With a record of 7-4 (3-4 SEC) it’s been a frustrating season for Eli Drinkwitz’s team that couldn’t deliver more.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHowever, they did win their rivalry games with victories in the Border War and the Mayor’s Cup. There’s a chance at one more “trophy game” win as the Missouri comes in as 2.5-point favorites over Arkansas.
There’s also a bowl game remaining for this bowl-eligible Mizzou team – which brings an opportunity for a rivalry to be renewed in the postseason.
Nebraska and Iowa State have identical records as Missouri. A potential bowl matchup with Nebraska would mean Mizzou will have played three straight Big Ten opponents in their bowl games and the renewal of the Missouri-Nebraska Victory Bell. Music City, ReliaQuest, or Citrus are some possible destinations for the Huskers and Tigers.
Missouri hasn’t played a Big 12 opponent in a bowl game since the Liberty Bowl loss against Oklahoma State in the 2018 season, but a matchup with the Cyclones is a possibility as well.

In this week’s SBN Reacts survey: Which opponent would you want Mizzou to play in their bowl game? Would you want a rivalry renewed between Nebraska or Iowa State? Or a rare ACC opponent in someone like Louisville.
Maybe another team? Let us know in the comments below.
