If you think you've experienced everything Elden Ring has to offer, you might be in for a surprise. Fan-created mod content for Elden Ring has kept the community incredibly active and engaged since FromSoftware's most popular game released back in 2022.
In the recently updated Elden Ring Reforged 2.0 mod (via Nexus Mods), players can replay Elden Ring in a completely overhauled and original way, with new unique bosses, weapons, spells and incantations, deeper character customization, overhauled combat mechanics, and much more. It's a totally reimagined Elden Ring experience that will give players the feeling of stepping into the Lands Between for the first time again.
Elden Ring Reforged Is A Huge Overhaul, Available Now
The Elden Ring Reforged mod is a quintessential download for hardcore fans of the game, and it feels a lot like firing up Elden Ring for the very first time again. The new systems introduced add a ton of depth to already-rich gameplay, with new weapons, spells and incantations, tools, items, and even new bosses introduced into The Lands Between.
The recent 2.0 Reforged update introduces a Fortune of the Reeds system, offering players unique mechanics based on their chosen preferred playstyles and enabling much deeper "build-crafting" than what's possible in the vanilla game. It also introduces new combat mechanics such as ducking and sliding, as well as a deflect mechanic. The update also allows spellcasters to regenerate FP, similar to the mechanic for Elden Ring Nightreign's Recluse character.
In Reforged 2.0, players will also get reworked PvP and PvE options with fully featured online play, as well as a completely new dungeon location called The Serpentine Depths found beneath Mt. Gelmir, which contains unique, custom enemies and bosses never before seen in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring Reforged Even Adds Difficulty Settings
The Elden Ring Reforged 2.0 update has even introduced one of the biggest game-changing features: difficulty modification settings. Elden Ring is infamously one of the more difficult RPGs out there, with major difficulty spikes that can sometimes alienate players who don't have the time or patience to "get good." The difficulty settings in the Reforged 2.0 mod will be a welcome addition for players who want either an easier or more challenging playthrough.
Ultimately, Elden Ring Reforged is a must-download mod that completely reimagines the Elden Ring experience, offering players tons of new original content, additional mechanics and systems, and more. The 2.0 update adds even more features to an already incredible mod, and if you're looking for a new reason to replay Elden Ring, Reforged 2.0 is it.
